Education organizes free five camps this summer for 280 students from Primary and Secondary.

The Ministry of Education has scheduled for this summer five free camps for 280 primary and secondary schools to be developed since the end of this month and throughout the month of July. Two of them are linguistic immersion: in English and French, the first, and Castilian for immigrant students, the second, both in Potes.

The rest are three camps of 'Creative Writing and Film', by 'experimental science',, cheap darkfall gold, and the program as a veteran, 'Come to the Sea. " These last three will have their headquarters based at the Center for Educational Programs Viernoles.

The Ministry of Education will spend EUR 129 000 in the organization and implementation of these camps, which are part of the school program and have a dual purpose: educational and funny.

Linguistic immersion camps

A total of 90 seconds of ESO students, who were not in their respective centers bilingual Education Programs (PEB), will have the opportunity to enhance their language skills in the camp called the 'Foreign Languages', which was developed at the School Home Potes from 4 to 14 July. Of the total, 60 of their questions in English and the remainder, 30 in French.

To improve their communicative competence, will receive 40 hours of language training, which combined with craft workshops, group games, ethnographic routes through the region of Liebana, hiking, visits to the Centre of Interpretation of Potes, the residue mills of Tama, the dairy of Pericles Mozarabic art or Santa Maria de Leben, among others.

At the other linguistic immersion camp, in this case improvement of Spanish as a second language, immigrant students involved 90 countries speaking non-Hispanic, enrolled in the fifth and sixth, first and second primary or secondary.

In view of the success of the four previous editions, the camp continues with the format called "invite a friend ', in which each student participant is accompanied by a speaking friend, who helps and serves as a tutor in all activities performed.

The aim is to improve the Castilian and also create a meeting place for young people from different countries and cultures, to help the language ceases to be an obstacle in their academic progress. This camp will take place from June 25 to July 3, also in Potes Home School. "

Come to the sea '

The 'Come to the sea' is an initiative for 50 schools in fifth and sixth grade centers inside the region know and enjoy the most characteristic coastal enclaves of Cantabria. It is a camp that takes place without interruption since 2007 andhas a great acceptance among students in remote rural areas of the sea.

In this edition, which will be held from 8 to 14 July, will travel Comillas, San Vicente de la Barquera, Oyambre, Santona, Laredo and Santander, discovering its flora and fauna, and productive activities that arise around them, but also their cultural heritage.

Special literary or scientific interest

Finally, for those students in third and fourth secondary school with good academic records and high capacities, have designed two camps, with 25 seats each, which began operating last year.

The second camp, called 'experimental science. Demonstrates and Enjoy 'is meant for students with special inclination for scientific research and experimentation. Five consecutive years

The summer camp program is not new, since the Ministry of Education has, with this, five years to develop such activities that delve into some of the basic lines of the educational model of Cantabria, and the Plan of Attention to Diversity in the intercultural aspect, the Plan for the Empowerment of Foreign Languages, the reader Plan or the Plan of Coexistence.
